  Birçok insan evcil hayvanları sever, ancak çoğu kendi eğlenceleri doğrultusunda onları bakımsız, aç, ihtiyaçları giderilmemiş bir şekilde bırakır. Kendi günlük hayatları çerçevesinde gerekli özeni dost(!)'larına gösteremeyebilir. Özellikle kedi ve köpekler insanların evlerinde tercih ettikleri canlılar olmakla beraber, köpeklerden bir tanesi malesef tüm dünyada farklı bir üne sahiptir.


  Pitbull cinsi dostlarımız vücutlarının kas geliştirmeye yatkınlığı ve kuvvetli çeneleriyle her zaman yanlış anlaşılmıştır. Acaba yanlış anlaşılma nedenleri onlar mıdır yoksa onları bu hale getiren sahipleri midir? işte bu soru hep tartışma konusudur. Ama pitbull yetiştirmek malesef, daha yavruyken kulaklarını ve kuyruğunu kestirip, ufak ve karanlık bir odada sadece sahibini tanıyacak şekilde büyüterek adeta dövüşe hazırlayan bir kitlenin favorisi. Daha önceden evlerinde yer verdikleri dostlarına gerekli özeni göstermeyen insan örneğinin çokluğu ülkemizde de çok olmakla beraber, bu yazıyı yazmaya beni iten olan A.B.D.'de gerçekleşmiştir.

   Yine bir saldırı haberi okumuştum. Evet başrolde yine bir pitbull var. Oklahoma City'de yaşayan Erin Dodson eve geldiğinde pitbull cinsi köpeği Spaz'ın 3 yerinden okla vurulmuş halde arka bahçesinde olduğunu fark ettiğinde şok geçirir. Köpek hala hayattadır. Dodson "Gözlerine baktığınızda acı çektiğini anlayabiliyordunuz." diyerek durumu izah eder. Dr Joe Bills Reynold, tedavi sürecinde ki x-ray ve testler doğrultusunda Spaz'ın çok şanslı ve dayanıklı bir köpek olduğunu söyler.

    Köpeğin sahibi Dodson, "Hasta, sadece çok hasta bir insan bir köpeği okla 3 kere vurabilir." diyerek olayı, bu hasta saldırıyı yapanı tanımlayabilecek tek cümleyi söyleyebilmiştir. Kulağı ve kuyruğu yerinde, bir insanın en iyi dostu olabilecek olan bir pitbull saldırıya uğrayan ve bu köpeğin saldırgan olup olmaması nasıl bir eğitim aldığıyla doğru orantılıyken, başkalarının eğlencesi onun hayatına mal oluyordu.


  Ancak bir yanda da diğer pitbull sahipleri var, kendi eğlenceleri için saldırgan yetiştirdikleri pitbull'larla başkalarının canlarını yakmaya devam ediyor. Peki sürekli haberlerde görmeye alışkın olduğumuz "Bir Pitbull dehşeti daha !" manşeti bir köpeğe mi yoksa bir insana mı aittir ?

  Lots of people love pets, but most of them leave their pets neglected, hungry and with non-satisfied needs. People may not be able to take care of their pets because of their daily life routines. Cats and dogs are the most known pets in our houses but one of them has a different fame.

  Pitbulls are usually misunderstood because of their powerful jaw and their body's predisposition to gain muscle. But what is the main reason for them to be misunderstood, is this just them, or their owners who made them like this ? This question was always there, and it's going to be there. But raising a pitbull (especially in Turkey) unfortunately, un-tailing and cutting their ears to make them ready for fights while they're puppy. Another tactic those people usually do is keeping them in dark rooms while raising them to make them just recognize their owners. Even there are lots of people in Turkey who don't care about their pets a lot, the incident makes me to write this happened in U.S.A.

  It was a news about an assault again. Yes, there was a pitbull as a leading-role. Erin Dodson who lives in Oklahoma City got shocked when she get back home, because she founds her pitbull Spaz at her house's backyard with 3 arrows on him. Spaz is still alive. Dodson "When you look at his eyes, you would easily understand that he is in pain." Dr Joe Bills Reynold "During the treatment, after the x-ray results and tests, you can claim that Spaz is so lucky and a though dog."

   Dodson explains the situation as best as can be "Sick, only a sick person can shoot a dog with 3 arrows." Someones entertainment can easily costs a life. A life which's aggressiveness depends on the training that they got from their owner, A pitbull which's ear and tail is not interrupted, the best friend of a human, a dog.

   Yet, there are other owners who are training their pitbulls for fights and their entertainment, which we can see on the news as "Another pitbull assault". There goes my question, is that title belongs to a dog or a person ?
